Prepare your kitchen stand mixer

Unpack the stand mixer and all attachments - including the whisk, beater, dough hook, bowl, and splash guard. Wash all detachable parts with warm water and mild detergent before first use. Dry each piece thoroughly. Ensure the speed dial is set to “0” before plugging into a UK 220–240 V socket. Secure the bowl in place by turning clockwise until locked. Choose and attach your desired tool (whisk, beater, or dough hook) - align it with the shaft and twist gently until it clicks into position.

Use your kitchen stand mixer

Before starting, make sure the head is locked down and the splash guard is fitted if required. Turn the speed control dial to your chosen level (1–12) — start slow for dry and wet ingredient mixing, then increase gradually for whisking or kneading. For whisking egg whites or cream, use the whisk attachment at medium to high speed. For batter and cake mixtures, the beater works best at medium speed. For bread and pizza dough, use the dough hook at low speed for 5–8 minutes. Never operate the mixer without ingredients in the bowl or exceed the recommended run time per cycle.

Maintain your kitchen stand mixer

Unplug the appliance after every use. Remove attachments and the bowl before cleaning. All detachable parts - bowl, beater, whisk, dough hook, and splash guard - are dishwasher-safe. For best results, hand wash and dry immediately. Wipe the mixer body with a soft damp cloth; never immerse it in water.
